To control the quality of raw material procurement and ensure the safety of product production quality, hardware enterprises need to control from the aspects of evaluation and selection of raw material suppliers, strengthening the acceptance of raw materials before warehousing, and improving the quality of warehousing management.
1、 Classification of raw materials and evaluation and selection of suppliers
1. The raw materials for production should be classified and managed to highlight the key points
In order to facilitate the key control of procurement quality, the raw materials shall be classified and managed according to their impact on product production quality. Generally, it is divided into three categories: Class A raw materials: raw materials that may have a direct and significant impact on the production quality of products (such as the key functions and performance of products) during the production and use process. Class B raw materials refer to the raw materials that may indirectly or significantly affect the product quality during production and use. Class C raw materials: generally auxiliary parts, which have an ordinary or slight impact on product quality.
2. Evaluate raw material suppliers. Whether the quality of purchased raw materials is stable depends largely on the quality management level of suppliers. Therefore, the quality assurance capability of various raw material suppliers shall be evaluated before procurement.
(1) Evaluate Class A raw material suppliers. For the evaluation of Class A raw material suppliers, it is generally necessary to conduct field investigation and evaluate their quality system operation, past supply, handling and rectification capabilities in case of abnormal supply quality, as well as their ability to deliver on schedule and quantity, their product cost performance ratio, and their after-sales service capabilities (including after-sales service attitude, timeliness, and effect). At the same time, it is also necessary to review the materials provided by the supplier, investigate and understand from other customers of the supplier, test the samples of raw materials provided, and evaluate the results of regular analysis of the quality of raw materials provided.
(2) Evaluate the suppliers of Class B and C raw materials. In general, the purpose of supplier evaluation can be achieved by consulting the materials provided by suppliers, testing the raw material samples provided, and analyzing the results of regular analysis of raw material quality without field investigation. For the evaluation of Class B raw material suppliers, the Procurement Department shall propose the "Evaluation List of Class B Raw Material Suppliers" to provide the relevant data of Class B suppliers, or the previous quality, service, price and other data and information such as the inspection and use of Class B raw materials, which shall be submitted to the relevant departments of technology, manufacturing, quality, finance, etc. for countersignature (review), and then submitted to the senior management for approval; For the evaluation of the capabilities of the suppliers of Class C raw materials, the Procurement Department shall propose a "List of Evaluation of Class C Suppliers", which shall be countersigned by the quality and finance departments and signed by the manager of the Procurement Department before implementation.
3. Selection and determination of raw material suppliers
Qualified raw material suppliers shall be determined through selection. The acquisition of a qualified raw material supplier depends on the above evaluation results of the quality assurance capability of each supplier, as well as the production, use, price, reputation and other factors. Therefore, when determining suppliers, it is necessary to select more than one supplier of the same type of raw materials for comparison, especially when the production and use conditions and the quality assurance capabilities of each supplier are basically the same.
2、 Strictly control the incoming of raw materials
If the supplier is qualified, it only indicates that the supplier has the basic conditions to provide relatively stable quality raw materials. It is uncertain whether the actual quantity of raw materials delivered is insufficient and whether the quality can meet the production requirements. Therefore, the incoming quality of raw materials shall be strictly controlled according to the following requirements before entering the factory.
1. The acceptance shall be carried out according to the raw material purchase contract, the Quality Certificate, the Material Specification and other quality certification materials of the company accompanying the goods; For some low value consumables that are difficult to issue the corresponding Certificate of Conformity and Material Specification, samples must be provided in advance. Raw materials without Quality Certificate and Material Specification shall be rejected for acceptance and warehousing.
2. The raw materials to be inspected can be put into storage only after passing the inspection. If the inspection is unqualified, the Nonconforming Product Record shall be filled in, and the quality information feedback shall be timely filled in to the quality department in charge for feedback, and the purchasing department shall be required to handle the return and replacement procedures.
3. Timely establish acceptance records after warehousing. Records include: raw material name, specification, model, manufacturer, arrival time, arrival quantity, qualified quantity, acceptance time and corresponding quality certificate; In addition, the materials shall be recorded into accounts and cards according to their types, names and specifications for future inquiry and confirmation.
4. For urgently needed or incomplete raw materials with quality certificates, the information quality feedback shall be timely filled in and submitted to the quality competent department for feedback. The quality competent department shall urge the purchasing department to ask for the quality certificates that have not arrived, and the raw materials shall be stored temporarily in the unqualified area according to the warehousing acceptance procedure. Acceptance procedures can be handled only after they are verified to be qualified.
5. The appearance quality acceptance of materials shall check whether the external packaging of raw materials is damaged or defective, whether the packaging is corroded or leaked, unpack to check the product name, grade, specification, model, etc., and conduct acceptance based on the product certificate and packing list.
6. For internal quality problems that can only be exposed in the installation and use stage, the raw material keeper shall establish a quality tracking card, keep communication with the production and use units, master first-hand information, timely feed back problems found, and notify the supply department to handle them according to regulations.
3、 Strictly control the quality of warehousing raw materials
To prevent the deterioration of warehousing raw materials, the control of raw material procurement process should continue, and the following management work should be done well.
1. Management of warehousing raw materials. The raw materials in stock, especially Class A raw materials, shall be checked frequently to ensure that they are free from damp, corrosion, rust, mildew, rot, change, damage, freezing, damage and moth.
2. Warehouse environment management. The shelves and articles in the warehouse shall be placed reasonably, the aisle shall be unobstructed, the doors and windows shall be free of damage, and the "three clean" (ground, doors and windows, shelves) shall be achieved, without sundries, garbage and dust.
3. Stacking and covering of raw materials in warehouse. Stacking and covering also ensure the quality of raw materials in the warehouse. Raw materials in stock must be stacked and covered reasonably according to their performance and storage requirements. Special consideration shall be given to the performance of Class A raw materials, packaging quality and warehouse ground conditions, and proper stacking method shall be adopted to achieve flood control and moisture-proof purposes.
4. Raw material inspection. When raw materials enter the warehouse for acceptance and stacking, they shall be maintained and controlled according to the classification of raw materials and maintenance requirements, that is, they shall be inspected regularly or frequently to eliminate and deal with hidden dangers in a timely manner.
5. Warehouse out management of raw materials. The principle of "first in, first out" shall be observed, especially for the long storage period, large cargo piles and difficult inspection of raw materials. Such raw materials shall be delivered in a timely manner. At the same time, standardize the behavior of the warehousing process to avoid damage to the quality of raw materials during the handling process.
4、 Regular analysis of raw material procurement quality
Regular analysis of raw material procurement quality is easy to ignore by many hardware mold enterprises, but it is an important link. Regular analysis of raw material procurement quality can find out whether there is regularity in the quality stability of raw materials supplied by suppliers, and also provide important information and even basis for supplier selection and adjustment after quality control in the next production process.
The quality of raw materials shall be analyzed regularly, and Class A raw materials shall be analyzed once a month generally; Class B raw materials shall be conducted once every six months; Class C raw materials shall be conducted once a year. The analysis contents mainly include: statistical analysis of acceptance results of raw material trial and testing; The supplier‘s on-time delivery and delivery quantity; Handling and rectification of abnormal supply quality.
